The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a groundbreaking scholarship program offering 5,000 merit-based scholarships for students achieving top positions in MDCAT and ECAT entrance examinations.

Scholarship Details:

  • MDCAT Top 1000: Full tuition coverage for MBBS/BDS programs at public sector universities
  • ECAT Top 1000: Complete fee waiver for Engineering degrees (BS Engineering)
  • Top 500 Combined: Additional monthly stipend of PKR 10,000 for living expenses
  • Rural Area Students: 1,500 reserved scholarships with laptop and accommodation support
  • Female Students: 40% quota ensuring gender equality in higher education

Eligibility Criteria:

Students must have:

  • Minimum 70% marks in FSc Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering
  • Pakistani nationality with valid CNIC/B-Form
  • MDCAT/ECAT score in top percentiles
  • Family income below PKR 600,000 annually for need-based consideration

Application Process:

Applications open from March 1, 2025 through the HEC online portal. Students will be automatically considered based on their MDCAT/ECAT results uploaded to the national testing system.
